1. Khi nào thì sử dụng câu đồng nghĩa trong tiếng Anh?
Ngoài việc đáp ứng yêu cầu viết lại câu của đề bài thì chúng ta còn sử dụng các cấu trúc viết lại câu trong những trường hợp dưới đây:
- Khi muốn sử dụng dạng khác của từ ngữ trong câu
- Sử dụng một cấu trúc hay công thức nào đó trong Tiếng Anh
- Chuyển từ dạng câu chủ động sang câu bị động
- Chuyển từ câu trực tiếp sang câu gián tiếp
- Sử dụng trong những trường hợp về đảo ngữ trong câu tiếng Anh
2. Những cấu trúc ngữ pháp đồng nghĩa trong tiếng Anh
1. Cấu trúc thích cái gì đó
| S + be + interested in + N/ V-ing. = S + enjoy + N/V-ing = S + be + keen on + N/V-ing |
Ex: I’m interested in traveling.
= I enjoy traveling.
= I’m keen on traveling.
2. Dùng Should thay cho If trong câu điều kiện loại 1
| If + S + V, S + will/shall + V + O = Should S + V, S + will/shall + V + O |
Ex: If he kicks the dog, he will be biten.
=> Should he kick the dog, he will be biten.
3. Dùng 1 số liên từ đặc biệt thay cho If trong câu điều kiện loại 1
| If + S + V, S + will/shall + V + O = S + will/shall + V + O in case S + V = S + will/shall + V + O provided/providing S + V = S + will/shall + V + O on the condition that S + V |
Ex: The President will succeed in the election If he/she gets over Two Third (2/3) of the total number of votes
= The President will succeed in the election on the condition that he/she gets over Two Third (2/3) of the total number of votes
4. Viết lại câu chuyển đổi giữa When và Since/For
| S + V_quá_khứ_đơn + O + when + mốc thời gian. = S + have/has + PII + Since/For + thời gian. |
Chú ý: Since đi với 1 mốc thời gian còn For đi với 1 khoảng thời gian
Ex:
- I have learnt English for 10 years.
- She has played piano since 1998.
Ex: I played the guitar when I was on high school.
=> I have played the guitar since I was on high school.
5. It’s adj (for Sb) to do sth
| => Doing sth be ADJ (for sb) => S find Ving/ it/ N + ADJ to do sth |
Ex: It’s difficult for me to learn English.
= Learning English is difficult for me.
= I find it hard to learn English.
= I find learning English difficult.
6. Cấu trúc bắt đầu làm gì
| S + began / started + to V/ V-ing + time ago = S + have/ has + P2 / been Ving+ for / since … |
Ex: She began to play the piano 5 years ago
=> She has played/ has been playing the piano for 5 years.
7. Cấu trúc Even though và Despite
| Despite + N/ V_ing, S + V + O = Even though S + V + O, S + V + O |
Ex: Despite having a lot of money, he’s still lonely.
=> Even though he has a lot of money, he’s still lonely.
8. Viết lại câu với “high time”
| S + should/ must/ ought to + V = It’s high time S + V-ed + O |
Ex: The Minister of Ministry of Education and Training should take solutions to deal with cheating on exams.
=> It’s high time The Minister of Ministry of Education and Training took solutions to deal with cheating on exams.
9. So sánh nhất
Đối với tính từ dài
| This is + the most + adj + N + S + have/ has + V (P2) =S + have/ has + never + V (P2) + such a/ an + adj + N =S + have/ has + never + V (P2) + a more + adj + N than this |
Đối với tính từ ngắn
| This is the + adj – est + N + S + have/has + V(P2) = S + have/has+ never + V (P2) + such a/an + adj + N =S + have/ has + never + V (P2) + adj – er + N than this |
Ex : This is the most interesting novel I have ever read.
=> I have never read such an interesting novel.
=> I have never read a more interesting novel than this (one/ novel).
10. Succeed in doing sth = manage to do sth
VD: We succeeded in digging the Panama cannel
= We managed to dig the Panama cannel
